Our support staff, many of whom are well established in the community, consists of a group of individuals that have extensive knowledge, experience and skills in all phases of the legal field. Linda Rhines is the Comptroller at Bergen & Parkinson. Immediately prior to joining the firm in 1998, she was the Business Manager for the Environmental Hazards Management Institute, a nationwide consulting firm. Linda is also the Regional Chair of the State of Maine for the National Cathedral Association, a membership organization that supports the mission and ministry of the Washington National Cathedral. She has also served on the Vestry and as an Assistant Treasurer for St. David's Episcopal Church in Kennebunk. lrhines@lexmaine.com
John Sweeney is the Firm Manager at Bergen & Parkinson. John has over 20 years of experience in the legal profession, including seven years in Washington, D.C. Prior to joining the firm in 2003, John worked for over 14 years as a litigation paralegal in the York County office of a large Portland, Maine law firm. In addition to his responsibilities as Firm Manager, John provides paralegal support to the firm's litigation practice group. jsweeney@lexmaine.com

Diane Ames is an experienced probate paralegal who specializes in estate and conservatorship administration. Prior to joining the firm, Diane worked for a New Hampshire law firm in the areas of real estate and probate administration. dames@lexmaine.com
Bonnie Daigle is a paralegal in the firm's Estate Planning and Probate Practice group, where she concentrates on probate and estate administration matters. Bonnie has a strong and varied background in the legal profession, having most recently worked several years for a local title company. Rebecca Engle is a probate paralegal concentrating on estate planning and administration, as well as guardianship and conservatorship proceedings. Prior to joining the firm in 2003, "Becki" worked in Portland for 12 years providing support in legal areas including Medicaid planning, Social Security Disability, real estate, bankruptcy, patents and trademarks, and Indian law.  rengle@lexmaine.com
Robin Johnson is a real estate paralegal who specializes in residential real estate closings. Prior to joining the firm, Robin worked for several years as a paralegal with a local law firm and as a mortgage closing coordinator for a local bank. rjohnson@lexmaine.com
Melissa Manos is a probate paralegal concentrating in estate planning. Melissa has several years’ experience supporting legal departments, including tax, corporate and litigation, for firms in Boston and Manchester, New Hampshire. Prior to joining Bergen & Parkinson, Melissa worked in the software industry as a senior technical writer. Melissa is a 1998 magna cum laude graduate of Wellesley College. mmanos@lexmaine.com
Kelly J. Stevens is a paralegal in the firm's Litigation Department. Kelly has an extensive legal background. She holds a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Maine School of Law, and prior to joining the firm Kelly worked for a title company for several years as their primary closing agent in the State of Maine. Kelly started at Bergen & Parkinson in October 2007 and is pleased to be working in litigation where she now applies her experience, knowledge and skills to a wide variety of cases. kstevens@lexmaine.com
JoAnne Wilson is a real estate paralegal with thirteen years of experience in the areas of residential and commercial real estate, title insurance, title search review and abstracting. Prior to joining the firm, JoAnne worked in a New Hampshire law firm as a real estate paralegal and coordinated its real estate department. jwilson@lexmaine.com
