John R. Kugler

John has lived in the Kennebunk area since 1981. He was a solo practitioner in Wells, Maine for many years prior to joining Bergen & Parkinson in October of 2006. John’s areas of practice include real estate law, condominium formation and operation, homeowner association formation and operation, zoning and land use issues, IRS 1031 real property transactions, estate planning and small business formation.

John graduated magna cum laude and phi beta kappa from Dartmouth College in 1972. He graduated cum laude from the University of Maine School of Law in 1977.

John was admitted to practice in Maine in 1977, and is a member of the York County and Maine State Bar Associations. He has been retained as both expert witness and mediator in disputed real estate matters. He is a past member of the Kennebunk Historic Preservation Commission.
