Bruce W. Bergen
Bruce Bergen brings over 30 years of experience to the firm. His areas of practice include: real estate, condominium formation, land use approvals and zoning advice, estate planning, probate administration and business strategy and advice. He also frequently serves as a mediator in these areas.
Bruce graduated from Cornell University in 1964 with a B.S. degree and received his J.D. from Boston University Law School in 1970.
Bruce served for more than fourteen years as a member of the Board of Directors of SAD 71, the local school district in Kennebunk and Kennebunkport, having been Chairman of the Board for the 1985-86 school year and for the 1990-91 school year. He was a founding trustee of the Laudholm Trust and served that organization for ten years. He also served as trustee of the Kennebunk Land Foundation and as a trustee of the Brick Store Museum. Bruce is a founding director of the Biddeford Free Clinic, Clerk of the Hope Cemetery Association and a member of the Kennebunk Rotary Club where he serves on the Board of Directors. He is a member of the Board of Corporators of Kennebunk Savings Bank.
Bruce is currently President of the York Bar Association and a member of the Maine State Bar Association as well as the American Bar Association; he is a member of the Real Estate and Title Standards Section and the Trusts and Estates Section of the Maine Bar Association and a member of the Real Estate and Probate Section of the American Bar Association.
